On Monday the 3rd of December, the 28th anniversary of the Bhopal gas disaster, the Bhopal Medical Appeal were featured on the front page on the Hindustan Times for a social media campaign using facebook.
The BMA have been running an online campaign focused on 28 reasons to support the Bhopal Medical Appeal in the days leading up to the 28th anniversary on the 2nd/ 3rd December 2012.
The newspaper quoted Sunday’s post “This evening is the 28th anniversary of the Union Carbide Gas Disaster in Bhopal, India. After years of suffering, thousands of Bhopalis have received comfort, support and healthcare from The Samvhavna Trust Clinic and the Chingari Trust and Rehabilitation Centre. Please help to keep these inspiring community based organizations alive and support the Bhopal Medical Appeal”.
