For the next 28 days the Bhopal Medical Appeal will be sharing with our supporters just a few of the reasons why it’s so important to continue to stand with the survivors of the 1984 Bhopal Gas Disaster and ongoing water contamination crisis. In the days leading up to the 28th anniversary of this tragedy, we ask you to share these posts with your friends, and encourage others to make a donation to the BMA.
Reason # 20
The Sambhavna Trust Clinic has a fully functioning gynaecological unit and is one of the only places in India to have ever performed free cervical screening for slum dwelling women. Women suffer reproductive, hormonal, and menstrual problems and, aside from treatment with medicines, Sambhavna can treat many women, suffering from menstrual and gynaecological problems, with yoga therapy. This brings relief without putting more chemicals into their already overburdened bodies.
