For the next 28 days the Bhopal Medical Appeal will be sharing with our supporters just a few of the reasons why it’s so important to continue to stand with the survivors of the 1984 Bhopal Gas Disaster and ongoing water contamination crisis. In the days leading up to the 28th anniversary of this tragedy, we ask you to share these posts with your friends, and encourage others to make a donation to the BMA.
Reason # 16
Every morning three minivans visit the communities affected by the gas or water contamination and collects disabled children registered at the Chingari trust. Because most of these children have mobility issues, the vans provide safe and reliable transportation for their homes to the Rehabilitation Centre. Just £100 can run a Chingari Trust minibus for one month, bringing up to 30 children to the Centre each day.
